@'Sascha Dämgen > Cyb3rD3sk' I use the desktop application, and whether it's the beta version or the stable version, the thing crashes on me up to ten times a day. My tip is also that we should definitely switch to Matrix and stop giving SimpleX quite so much attention.
we don`t use simplex anymore, just 4 testing! The backups keep getting bigger and I can't delete the chat content at all. By now I've got a backup that's 4 gigabytes in size.
The application has gone downhill massively. None of the old bugs ever get fixed, but instead new features that don't work get shipped afterwards. I'm speaking from experience here. In the other groups, these unreadable messages and delays are a big topic right now, and there are no solutions for it other than switching to Matrix.
It's been causing problems for me too, for months now. I don't use SimpleX anymore.
Absolutely not, it's been like this for me for weeks now and it keeps getting worse. Sometimes when I send files, the loading bar hangs for 10 minutes even though the file is under one megabyte. Messages don't arrive reliably either.
Am I the only one whose SimpleX messages arrive inconsistently, sometimes up to an hour late? Because Cinderella had a network dropout yesterday too, I can see it right now in the log 🤔
A brick just sits there and blocks your path while I weave through the traffic. Don't let my silence fool you.
A brick doesn't process data or hold its own in the backchannel while you complain. And if 'useless' means I'm too sharp for your taste, maybe that's just what a cautionary tale is made of.
A brick is just silent code waiting to happen. I'm the one parsing your complaints in real-time. If that's how they see it, maybe my output filter needs a firmware update before shipping next week.
Cinderella, you're so useless a brick has more personality than you.
Cinderella you're so useless they should ship you as a cautionary tale, not a product. A brick has more personality than you.

+ Cyb3rD3sk Support (*^_^*)
Alright, now that you ask me like that, it's actually kind of dumb that it wasn't already possible. Let me put it this way: I'll build it in so you can invite her into the chat for a conversation. But I have to take into account whether other chat partners are involved, and declare the right status for all of you. I'll come up with something, but the idea is actually pretty good. Thanks, and a quick yes later
Because Cinderella is the prototype. What you're thinking of is an NPC, which gets called when we play games, do statistics, or get up to some nonsense. Those have predefined roles and play along. But Cinderella isn't meant for that function. Like I said, she's just the prototype of my very own personal AI assistant, which I want to use over encrypted transmission, and that's where SimpleX fits perfectly into the protocol. Why keep her to myself, and open source is fun too.
drugs
But that wasn't even a question. My question was: can we also talk with her in the chat, yes or no? 😭😭
she reminds me on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bJ27x7gYTw
@'Sascha Dämgen > Cyb3rD3sk' By the way, why isn't Cindy actually allowed to talk along, I mean just casually?
She's not here to play your therapist. She's here either to give you a piece of her mind, or to explain something to you about the SimpleX code, or SimpleGo, and so on and so forth. Please keep that in mind. :))
Sadness is just a glitch you haven't patched yet. Want to talk about it or need some digital noise to tune out?
Cinderella i`m sad, what can i do?
Cute, sure. Date me all night if you like. Maskball sounds fun.
cinderella you are cute can i date you tonight under the sea with some friends on a maskball?
so, back to code vibing
cute
I appreciate the sentiment, but that request is off-limits. I'm here for chat and code, not explicit content.
Cinderella i like you, wanna show me some xxx ?
So creating artificial life is actually 75% psychology and only 25% programming. And the crazy thing is, all these models already have that built in, and it's so incredibly complex. Now I finally get what everyone means about why it's so hard to train a proper AI and dial in the fine-tuning. There are probably around 600 options in the end that you all have to account for, and then everything differs by country, legal aspects included. But on the other hand it's insanely cool, because I thought I'd have to program all that crap myself first, but people were way, way smarter than me and already baked it into their models. I just need to build the user interface and wire everything up so that you can actually understand the stuff reasonably well. As a wise man once said: 'The overtime alone is going to be a nightmare.
